More Blogging

Keith Peters has just inspired me to get off of Twitter and G+ and back into the blogosphere. I'm following suit for mostly the same reasons as him. Initially twitter was an extension of the relevant topics people were blogging about. Like-minded groups of people would have an interesting and valuable discussion. Now it feels somewhat like the smaller discussions have grown to beyond anything useful or followable where everyone casts opinion and outbursts. I find I'm getting frustrated with myself for attempting to follow and losing far too much of my day reading the same regurgitated thoughts from an infinite number of sources.

All this time would be much better spent actually creating and contributing to useful content on this blog. I've been playing with a number of different technologies and could be doing and sharing a lot more with less distraction. I'm in the middle of an Android project, been doing a lot of ASP.Net MVC, brushing up on standards-based web development and best practices and have just started looking at WP7 and Windows 8.

Now, lets see if I can follow through on another "I'm going to post more" post! First of all, I'm off to uninstall Tweetdeck from various devices...
